Newborn & Prenatal Services

  • Your baby is born! Welcome to The Fourth Trimester--a time of triumphs and challenges all its own. We will be right there with you, empowering you in the care of your newborn. Dr. Thyssen or Dr. Brouillette prefer to meet with expectant parents before their baby arrives. During this visit, we learn all about your family and how best to help you prepare for your birthing or adoption experience. We will discuss the neonatal transition, medications administered in the hospital, and ways to nourish your baby.

  • All pediatric well-visits, telehealth, and acute visits are covered in the monthly membership fee.

  • We offer an optional “Newborn Package” for $1,500. The Newborn Package includes home visits for all well child checks through 2 months and a lactation specialist present to support mothers interested in breastfeeding.

1 Hour Regular Well Child Visits

There are many dynamic changes in the first years of life and what is ‘normal’ can change from week to week! Frequent Well Child Checks are important for ensuring healthy development and discussing what to expect in the coming months and years. These visits, and any immunizations, are included in your membership. We follow the schedule suggested by the American Academy of Pediatrics and CDC:

  • First newborn visit at 1-3 days after going home, 1-2 weeks old, 1 month old, 2 months old, 4 months old, 6 months old, 9 months old, 12 months old, 15 months old, 18 months old, 2 years old, 2.5 years old, 3 years old and every year beyond that!

Sick Visits

  • Our goal is to keep your child healthy and at home by providing timely sick care in the office. Urgent care and emergency department visits are for true emergencies. For everything else, we are just a phone call away, 7 days a week.

  • Earaches, fevers, asthma flares, stitches, funny rashes, and behavioral concerns. We see them all in our office with same-day and next-day scheduling.

Care for Chronic Conditions

  • Some children deal with long-term medical diagnoses: diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease, depression, complex syndromes, genetic conditions, cancer. We are here for them and their families.

  • Dr. Thyssen and Dr. Brouillette will partner closely with the multi-specialty team to give your loved one the attention and expertise they need to grow to their potential.

In-Office Labs

  • We offer in-office testing at no additional cost for:
  • Strep throat, Influenza, RSV, Mononucleosis, Coronavirus, Blood Glucose, Blood in Stool, Urine dip, and Urine Pregnancy for our patients.

  • We also obtain specimens as needed and send them to an outside lab. Collection is included in membership, but labs fees do apply. We contract with the laboratory to keep costs low for our cash-paying patients. Specimens include:
  • Skin/Wound/Urine Cultures, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Urine Analysis, and Vaginal Swabs.

  • Additional Labs, X-Ray, Ultrasound, CT/MRI, and other studies may be ordered by our providers but will be billed by the outside facility. These may be covered by your outside insurance or for a low fee for cash-paying patients.

Immunizations

  • We provide the CDC-recommended vaccination schedule free of charge to our members.
